The Electronic Journal of Inclusive Education
Statement of Purpose
The Electronic Journal of Inclusive Education publishes research, reviews,scholarly writings and poetry concerning the inclusion of students with special learning needs in regular classrooms .The Electronic Journal is concerned with inclusion issues at all levels of educational endeavors : research , administrative issues , classroom teaching and exemplary university student work.
The Electronic Journal defines inclusive education within the broad context of the following Council of Exceptional children guidelines.Special Education has within its heritage the perspectives of advocacy for persons with exceptionalities and of embracing individual differences.
Therefore the purpose of this Electronic Journal is to support critical , conversations concerning inclusion, multicultural issues, democratic ethics , and democratic schools. Many voices are encouraged to participate in these conversations through the writing of scholarly articles , reviews , research and poetry .Additionally those in academia are asked to submit exemplary pre-service teachers work dealing with these issues. Articles representative of a variety of disciplinary bases are accepted ; the focus of the Electronic Journal is not limited to or slanted toward any specific method of inquiry or analysis , neither quantitative ,qualitative ,empirical nor rational.
Articles published in the EJIE may be reproduced for non profit use by any educational or public institution . Any commercial use of this journal in whole or in part by any means is strictly prohibited. Authors of accepted articles assign to EJIE the right to publish and distribute their text electronically and to save it and make a permanently available electronically . Authors retain the copyright, and after it has appeared in the Electronic Journal of Inclusive education they may publish it in any form they wish as long as EJIE is acknowledged as the original source.
Preparation of Submitted Articles
- Articles should be generally more than 500 lines long. Poetry may be 20 lines long . Hypertext submissions are welcome.
- Articles may be submitted either Electronically to the Editor or by ordinary mail on a floppy diskette ,Macintosh format. All articles will be peer reviewed in a blind process.
- Articles should be prepared according to the guidelines in the publication manual of the American Psychological Association ( The Fifth Edition ) .
- Please include a 100 word Abstract . If your article is accepted for publication , you will be asked to prepare a brief biographical sketch that will appear with your article.
