Graduates are prepared to work with individuals of all ages on a variety of issues (e.g. abuse and neglect, crisis, substnce abuse, personal, career, mental illness, and/or interpersonal problems). The curriclum provides a blend of counselor training experiences designed to provide the skills and knowledge necessary to become a professional counselor. Additional coursework can lead to professional counselor licensure.

COMMUNITY COUNSELING
Master of Science (M.S.) or Master of Arts (M.A.)

The program of study prepares graduates to work with individuals of all ages on a variety of issues (e.g., abuse and neglect, crisis, substance abuse, personal, career, mental illness, and/or interpersonal problems). The curriculum provides a blend of counselor training experiences designed to provide the skills and knowledge necessary to become a professional counselor. Additional coursework can lead to a professional counselor license.

The College of Education and Human Services Community Counseling program (M.S. and M.A. degrees) are accredited by CACREP through October 31, 2011.
