Individuals learn to counsel children of exceptionality in settings such as hospitals, mental health agencies, residential treatment and school settings. All aspects of exceptional children are included. Students have the opportunity to individualize their learning in areas of specializaton such as learning disabilities, behvaior disorders, developmental disabilities, gifted, autism, and attention deficit disorder. Additional coursework can lead to professional counselor licensure.

EXCEPTIONAL CHILDREN COUNSELING
Master of Science (M.S.) or Master of Arts (M.A.)

Individuals learn to counsel children of exceptionality in settings such as hospitals, mental health agencies, residential treatment and school settings. All aspects of exceptional children are included. Students have the opportunity to individualize their learning in areas of specialization such as learning disabilities, behavior disorders, developmental disabilities, gifted, autism, and attention deficit disorder. Additional coursework can lead to a professional counselor license.
