Admission Requirements and Procedures
Undergraduate Program
Undergraduate programs require the following. You can also view this information in the Student Services portion of the Colleges website
- 24 quarter credit hours of college coursework
- Cumulative WSU GPA of 2.35 or better
- Complete Intra-University Transfer Form and submit to the college in which you are currently admitted. (Not required for students who hold an associates degree or are being advised by University College.)
Graduate Programs
Students must meet both the Wright State University School of Graduate Studies and the College of Education and Human Services requirements for admission (please see the Wright State University Graduate Catalog. Individual program areas may have additional requirements.
In addition, candidates should have:
- a score of 45 on the Miller Analogy Test,
or a score of 900 on the Graduate Record Examination (specific information is available from the Testing Services here at the University.
- three letters of recommendation (forms are provided).
- an interview (application file must be complete before the interview).
- demonstrated evidence of oral and written English proficiency.

Exit Requirements
Students admitted to the Department of Human Services graduate degree programs will be required to take a comprehensive written examination during the last quarter of their program. Graduates of the MHC program may submit his or her score from the Ohio licensure examination in place of a department comprehensive written examination. Program areas may have additional exit requirements in addition to the written examination and may include:
1) a scholarly paper.
2)
a research project.
3)
a thesis (M.A. degree option).

Applications packets are available in the Lobby of MO52 CAC
- Complete pre-requisites:
- Registered for next to last or last quarter of coursework on program of study
- 3.0 G.P.A.
- Approved program of study on file
- Advisor written verification of remediation IF third administration
- Register during first four weeks of the quarter with program area secretary in M052 CAC (during first two weeks for summer quarter).
- Registration and pre-requisites will be verified by departmental graduate assistant. Letters will only be sent to students not meeting pre-requisites.
** A petition/appeal process exists for those not meeting the requirements as stated. Students with special needs are encouraged to contact the department for consideration of special arrangements.
Graduation
Students begin the process for graduation AT LEAST the quarter BEFORE they are to graduate. The application to graduate is available at the School of Graduate Studies at Wright State University, E344 Student Union (937) 775 2976
