Students from Wright State University have had actual experience in planning and teaching during Academic Intersessions. This session will offer a Intersession design: theme, curriculum, marketing brochures, budget, evaluation, and many sample activities.

Our plan is to provide an enriched curriculum for elementary and middle school social studies teachers {of course, many of these activities may be incorporated within the regular curriculum}. The charge is to provide an interesting, hands on curriculum for ten days of instruction.

Students have several Intersession ideas to share. The final projects were submitted in a portfolio. The actual experience of working with children in a classroom setting for an Intersession has promoted some very good teaching activities. The presenters will also offer some techniques for enriching the social studies and will share curriculum materials.
